A brief history of The Romford Snooker Club
Probably the most famous snooker club in the world
In 1982 Barry Hearn established the Matchroom Club in what is now The Romford Snooker Club's darts and pool area.
Richard Willis buys the club in 1989
In 1989 Barry sold the Romford Snooker Centre to Richard Willis and his company Five Star Leisure who renamed the club 'The Romford Snooker Club'. Today, the club is managed by Keith Dillingham - a former manager of the Matchroom Club.
Richard Willis says we are very proud of our heritage and with all our members, look forward to another 75 years for what is probably 'THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS SNOOKER CLUB'.
